Slumdog Millionare

It can be safely said that the movie has struck a chord with people across the globe alike. We all love underdogs. Whenever we go for any sports match, cricket or soccer, baseball or football, seeing the underdog win is always a thrill. Not just thrill, a source of hope also.

All societies look upto the person who can rise from his conditions and make a life for himself. And this is very typically true of American society. No matter where you are from but if you can show that you have the courage to stand up, it will listen to you. That is why, Barack Obama is so looked up in America.

So much of digression. The point I am trying to make is that Slumdog Millionare strikes a chord with the human spirit which is to endure, to hope and to prevail. Of course I do not want to take the credit away from skillful direction of Danny Boyle, background score of AR Rahman and nifty editing. I could not look away from the screen while watching the movie, it was so engrossing. Despite of some criticism about the movie, I am looking forward to the movie winning couple of oscars.

elitist syndrome

The disease which affects us, whenever we are on our way to "progress". I am suffering from it chronically, therefore, I am such a waste.

What is interesting?

I just figured out that skimming anything is boring and monotonous whereas delving deeper and discovering the subtleties is what is interesting. Contradict me.

Oh you fool! stop crying at your mistakes and failures. Try to see what led to them. It is your character and not momentary loss of conscious.

Another season of Identity Crisis

In a more softer words, too soft and flexible. Lot of times, I didnt know that I had an identity crisis, I just lost myself. Of course, I was very rude and pretty uncomfortable. I was being the one o decide right and wrong and judging everyone. I had tough times in all kinds of relationships. I just could not take anybody's faults.

I am talking about Individualism or personality. One thing which I was trying to have and did not know what I was becoming. I used to look up to people and also look down at few. What a stark hypocrisy.

After all "we are the actors on this center stage". What a spiritual piece by Shakespeare. It fills so much tranquility into the reader when he reads it. It also tells you that no one is superior or inferior. Obviously, it can be easily disregarded in the life we lead today when we are always trying move forward inch by inch and our measure of performance is how better are we doing as compared to other fellas who are our competitors. Corporate rules should there and not get imbibed in people's life. It does most of times though, when I see my friends ditching their long term boyfriend because their parents have found someone who makes more money. Survival of the fittest. Darwin has equated humans to animals. On personal note, I believe humans lacking courage are indeed animals.
